We had the pleasure of joining Karen and Graham for their wedding day at Carlowrie in Edinburgh.
Carlowrie Castle is a new venue for us, but certainly one we would love to get back to, because it’s everything we look for in a venue. From the amazing scenery and highland cows, to the great lighting for the ceremony.
Karen and Graham had us for the full day, from getting ready, right through to the wee hours where everyone is giving it their best on the dance floor… and as you will see from the pictures, the place was bouncing!
Being a winter wedding, sun light is at a premium, so we headed out just before the sun went down to grab some daylight couples shots, managing to catch a lovely red sky as the sun finally set. After though is where the magic happens, because we can get the umbrellas out to get something a little different.
I had Anna hide behind the lovely couple with a flash pointing up into the umbrella, creating an intimate photo with unique lighting. Making the couple the standout feature in a pitch black back drop.
We absolutely love our job, because we always end up having a great time with guests, getting up on the dancefloor and capturing all those high energy candid shots…. It almost doesn’t even feel like we are at work!
