Weddings

We had the pleasure of photographing Craig and Rachel’s wedding day at Megginch Castle and it turned out to be such a fun day.

We went to a slightly different schedule, getting the group shots done before the ceremony, which was interesting and meant everyone had plenty time to get straight to the drinks table and socialize after the ceremony, which seems like a good idea to us!

This was a religious ceremony, with the brides father marrying the lovely couple. We were told they would prefer no pictures to be taken during the main ceremony, so that was time for us to put the cameras down and become a guest for a while, watching on, fighting the urge to reel off hundreds of pictures of the first kiss.

After the ceremony, we captured lots of candid shots of guests and the couple, mingling along the way. The groomsmen had seen our beer races before and wanted to give it a shot. So we sourced a beer and lined them up. We learned you never come between an Irish man and his beer… the competition was fierce!

Before the sun went down, we stole the couple away for 10 minutes to capture some couples pictures in the woods on the grounds of Megginch Castle and we think those turned out absolutely amazing with such a perfect backdrop, with the trees framing them naturally.

After the couples shoot, it was on to the ceilidh, which was full of energy and great fun to get involved in.

It was a wonderful day to be a wedding photographer and we had lots of fun photographing Craig and Rachel’s big day. We wish them all the best in their married life.
