We had the pleasure of joining Angela and James for their big day at Orocco Pier, a beautiful venue in South Queensferry, Edinburgh.
The venue offers amazing views of the forth bridges out of the giant glass windows as you are getting married. This presents a challenge for wedding photographers with such a strong backlit situation. However, we tackled this challenge by shooting mostly from the sides and front of the room, making the most of the light coming in and avoiding the need to use flash during the ceremony to balance the lighting. After the ceremony, we were able to get the flashes out and fill in and compensate for the strong back lighting, resulting in some stunning shots.
After the lovely couple were finished their signing, we managed to steal them away for a small couples session, taking them down to the pier to get some stunning shots with the forth bridges in the background.
We were only with Angela & James for a couple of hours, but we enjoyed every moment working with them and wish them a long and happy marriage!
