We had the pleasure of joining Aime and Stephen with their kids for a couples/family shoot at Gullane beach, just outside Edinburgh. As part of our Deluxe package, they have this included with their package, along with a printed album after their big day. It’s an amazing way to break the ice and get to know each other before the wedding.
We met up at the beach and got a few group shots, before letting them loose to play tag and get messy in the sea! We made the most of the amazing weather with sunshine and sand.
In between the chaos, we were able to capture a few more intimate moments of the lovely couple with the sun beating down, making for an amazing hair light.
Lighting can be a tough one when you are on a beach with direct sun beaming down, but we made the most of it and used it to our advantage. On the way back we noticed an opportunity with some tree cover, so stole the couple away for a few moments while the kids cleaned themselves up and we managed to capture some magical and intimate shots there.
We look forward to celebrating their wedding day with them next month at the Hadding Registry office, followed by their reception at the beautiful St Mary’s Pleasance. We haven’t shot there before, but it looks stunning and we cant wait to see how the wedding photos turn out!
