We are a husband and wife wedding photography team, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, but happy to travel!. We focus on a candid documentary style of wedding photography, trying to be as unobtrusive as possible, while capturing every emotion as it unfolds.

Our intention is to craft a visual story of your wedding day, ensuring that every image transports you back to the emotions you felt at the time.

Being a husband and wife team, we are able to capture more angles and perspectives than a single wedding photographer. We work together in unison to make sure no moment goes uncaptured. Ensuring everything emotion is preserved.

We also try to streamline our process from the first contact to put our couples at ease. We understand how stressful planning a wedding can be, so we do everything we can to make the photography side of it as painless as possible.

At McCourt Photography, we take pride in preserving every magical aspect of your wedding day with images that feel both fresh and timeless. Being a husband and wife team, we know first hand how important the photographs from your wedding day are. We offer our services throughout Edinburgh, Glasgow, Fife, and beyond, making sure no memory goes unnoticed.

Our Photography Approach

We focus on a blend of candid photography with the usual group photographs and optionally a small couples session after the ceremony. Our aim is to be as unobtrusive as possible and to capture the day as it unfolds, capturing every emotion as it happens.

We do our best to maintain a high level of consistency with our wedding photography. We try and edit all our photographs to a similar visual style that can be seen through our portfolio. So if you like what you see, then you know what to expect. We can however, be flexible and if you have a different look in mind, we can tailor the results to what you have in mind.

What Makes Us Different

Being a husband and wife team makes us different, because we can operate as one yet be in two places at once, we aren't just stuck at the back of the room only able to capture one angle. If you are both getting ready at different locations, this is no problem for us.

Every wedding has its own energy, and we’re here to make sure yours is captured beautifully from start to finish. You’ll find that our relaxed, attentive manner keeps things running smoothly, whether we are scouting perfect backdrops or guiding you through portraits.

I'm Jack McCourt. I started my journey as a web developer, but always had a love for photography. After getting bored of sitting behind a desk, I decided to take the plunge and start photographing weddings. I absolutely love capturing the magic of a wedding day and if you do what you love, then you will never work a day in your life!

Anna McCourt

I'm Anna McCourt. I started my journey with a degree in fashon design, which naturally lead me to photography. I have a natural eye for detail after years of perfecting my craft, which extends to my wedding photography. I always make sure the finer details, like how your dress flows in pictures, are just right!
